When people ask “Will I be compatible with a Cancer man” or “Will I be compatible with an Cancer woman” generally they are referring to their sun sign. In Western Astrology you are considered Cancer if you are born between (and including) June 21 to July 22. But in Vedic Astrology (Jyotish) Cancer sun is from July 16 to August 17. So often you may be a Cancer in Western Astrology, but in Jyotish (because it also considers the north and south nodes of the moon), you may not be a Cancer sun at all. It is pushed back three weeks, so you may actually be a Gemini sun. So if you were a Cancer in Western Astrology, you will only remain one if you were born between and including July 16 to July 22. But if you thought you were a Leo, you may now be a Cancer!

Whether you will get on well depends more on the ascendent / rising sign
